This is a unique opportunity to mentor Jr. high girls at a critical point in their lives. The group runs on Wednesdays from 1:15-3:00pm in the Matilija cafeteria with our Board Member Kate Russell and Program Manager Meg Wall. We cover a variety of topics ranging from relationship building to goal setting to fitness and health. We start each workshop with a bit of yoga and music and then bring in local women mentors to talk about specific issues that girls are dealing with. It is an opportunity for girls to have a support system in the community outside of their immediate families. We incorporate arts enrichment opportunities that range from photo workshops to water color and horseback riding. This weekly program provides a safe, productive environment.
